Wednesday Blog featuring Lawn Fawn Stamps and Distress Oxides.

Hi There's Crafty Friends,
I hope you've enjoyed the long weekend. For some of us its half term, time to  spend more time in the craftroom. I have done a video on the Avery Elle Extraordinary Stamps step by step, The link to my channel is at the top of my blog. Also there is a link to Bumbleberrys, were you will find the Set in stock at the moment. Please subscribe to my youTube channel, were I will be showing tips and techniques. So I thought I would do a Lawn Fawn Card showcasing the Delightful Cute images from the You're Claw-some.https://www.bumbleberrys.co.uk/collections/new-releases/products/youre-claw-some I just love this little grabbing machine, its going to be a popular stamp in this house.  I fell in love with it as soon as i saw the release. I was hot to order it!!!! and off course the dies.So here the card I made.

I decided to use the grabber machine another day, so using only the 3 tiny stamps Teddy x2 and Unicorn. I came up with this.Fun and playful design!

Step One

First I stamped the 3 stamps on masking paper and cut them out. I then Started stamping on watercolor paper building the design, using the masks to build a teddy tower. Then I added one unicorn on the top.

Step Two

I then took a piece of laminated cardstock and my Distress oxides and made a palette of colours.
I then Started filling in the bears and Unicorn.

I cut them out, and added black gel pen to eyes and noses.

Step Three

I took a 6" x 6" card blank and used it as a top folding card. Using the MFT Cloud stencil I made a sky back ground.https://www.bumbleberrys.co.uk/products/stencil-cloud?variant=41285749642
I used Broken China Oxide and then I added Mini stars from the stamp set in Fossilised Amber and Memento Dandelion.

I  then attached the tower of bears on to the card blank.

Step Four

Finally I added a sentiment,On to black card and white embossed. Glossy accents to the unicorn and a sprinkle of glitter.Twine and Sequins to finish my card.

These images are perfect for all those little boy and girl pirates in our lives. Im sure I will be making  many birthday cards, with these delightful images, perfect for that not sure age.
I made this card, only using half of the stamps,

This Card was made in a few easy steps

Step one

Take a piece of Neenah Desert Storm card stock or similar, Then use Versa Mark inkpad to stamp a random background using the map stamp.Emboss this in clear powder.
Then using the incredible Distress oxides in vintage photo, blend over the top. https://www.bumbleberrys.co.uk/collections/ink-pads/products/distress-oxide-vintage-photo
Then using a water spay in your hand, drop water droplets on to the card. Remove with some kitchen roll, after about a minute. Then stamp the word stamp ARRR using the same inkpad.

Then using some pearlescent medium, Paints,Inks, Spitz etc add some gold splats.

Step Two

Stamp out your chosen images, and colour them using your alcohol markers.Fussy cut them out if you don't have the dies.

Step Three

Arrange them on to your background, and add Stamp with sentiment and die cut letters in the word PIRATE, I also used an X. Then use a decorative banner punch to make a border. Then add gold /black Nuvo drops or simular to create a studded look to card.

Wednesday DT Blog for Bumbleberrys using MFT's Seaside Seagulls.

Loving these new Stamps From My Favourite Things.....

Hi There Crafty Friends,
Well it has been a busy week so far, with some amazing new releases, May saw MFT land on the website, at Bumbleberrys and there is more to come with releases from Avery Elle, Neat and Tangled and on the 18th May 2017, Lawn Fawn. So much Crafty  loveliness, Check out the link at the top of my Page for direct link into Bumbleberrys shop!!!
Well todays Step by Step is using the MFT Seaside Seagulls https://www.bumbleberrys.co.uk/collections/my-favorite-things/products/seaside-seagulls
Also using the New MFT Stencils

Step One

Take a 5x5 piece of card stock and mask of 1" to create the sand, using Fossilised Amber Distress ink. Then cover up the sand and mask a 2" cap to create your sea, using Salty Ocean Distress ink.

I also used the cloud mask upside down to create some waves, this is like get 2 for the price of 1.
Then I added the clouds using tumbled Glass Distress ink, And More Fossilized Amber over the top corner with the Ray Stencil.

Now with the background completed I move on to Step 2

This is where I decided to use my Real color brush markers, my new favourite colouring medium. I stamp on to Bristol Strathmore Card Stock, then using a water brush to spread the colour.

Step 3

I fussy cut these out, and placed them on my card. I also drew a Chip and Coloured it using the same method. Then I stamp the sentiment. Then back it with a black mat 5.5" by 5.5 " and mounted it on a 6x6" card blank.

A quick and easy Card that is very cheerful and fun. I hope you agree.

Thank you for popping by, I'd love you to leave a comment or follow me.

Stamp the first image. Then stamp on masking paper and make a mask.

Use dies or trimmers to cut out image, i've used the MFT Double Stitch rectangle Die,then I used a sheet of backing paper 6x6 inches, on to a 8x8 inch card.
Finally I used MFT Stitched Rectangle Word Windows, to cut out my Sentiment which I had stamped on black card and embossed in white. https://www.bumbleberrys.co.uk/collections/my-favorite-things/products/die-namics-stitched-rectangle-word-windows
