Its Time To Make A Start On My Christmas Cards. Using Lawn Fawn Dies and Stamps.

 Well Hello and Welcome

With 30+ temperatures hitting England, I'm sure Christmas is the last thing on your mind. But in the craft industry we have to think way in advance. Products need to be sourced and designs need to be decided. As most of us will be sending or giving out 20 to 30 cards. So with that in mind I felt I needed a quick and easy card, that I could produce without getting board. As mass production can become tedious.

Products

Gold Pen 1.0mm (Pen Touch)

Jelly Roll Stardust Glitter Silver (Sakura) Snow flake Centres

Crystal Gems In Ocean Breeze, Perfect Pearls, Raw Honey  (Honey Bee Stamps)

6" x 6" Card Blank

Method

Die cut out the "Giant Merry Christmas" out of the glitter card stock. Also cut out three more with a cheaper cardstock 110lb or thicker. Stick all four layer together for added dimension, on to your card blank.

Stamp out your images in alcohol marker friendly black ink.

Colour your images and add gold trim to the slay, using a gold pen.

Die cut out all the images.

Connect the sleigh to the rain dear with the rope.

Arrange your images around the die cut sentiment, when your happy attach with liquid glue. Then stamp extra snow flakes, straight on to the card blank around your sentiment. Finally add your crystal gems to finish.

I do hope you enjoyed this weeks blog post, I'll be back next Wednesday with another project.

Micron Black Pen 0.3 (Sakura)

Bristol Smooth Card Stock (Strathmore)

Mounting Foam (3M)

6 x 6 " Card Blank (Cards United)

Method

Stamp your images onto your Bristol card stock in your black ink. Next using your pencils colour your images. Once die cut add detail and high light with your fine liners and jelly roll pens. Leave these to one side.

Directly on your card blank stamp out your scene. I used a Misti to line up my images. Then colour in the one balloon and the confetti.
Also add string from your balloons to your bears paw, with your Micron pen . Using the celery ink and a blender I added my grass.

Next blend your mermaid ink over your stamped bear.

Next mount your die cut stamped images, with mounting foam and add them on top of your images on your card blank. Add a little bow to teddy's hand.
Stamp and cut out your sentiments.
Add mounting foam to the Happy Birthday only. Glue the smaller words straight on to the card with no dimension added.

As you can see you will have different dimensions on your card adding interest to your work.

I do hope you have enjoyed this blog post.

Its Time To Give Foiling A Go... Using The Balloon Arch From Honey Bee Stamps. My First Attempt, How Did It Go.

 Hi There,

I'm late to the world of foiling to be honest I wasn't sure weather  to invest in the whole foiling system would it be something I would enjoy. I had loved the toner and Deco Foils but this seem a different ball game. After a real delay, I was lucky enough to get a Gemini from a friend, at a great price. As she was selling off her sister's craft stuff as unfortunately she had gone in to a home. So the foil Press seemed the way to go. so I purchased it and there it sat. months and months later, I had brought a few foiling dies but still it sat.

Until I fell in love with the Balloon Arch  from Honey Bee Stamps.

So how did I get on. Seriously I'm hooked. Follow my method to see how it went.
