Moving On With Your Water Colouring Using Zig Real Brush Markers With The Amazing Stamps By Anita Jerim.

 Hi There Crafty Friends,

I hope your all Well!,

I have loved using the Distress Inks to build my confidence with water colouring painting. But I felt I wanted to give another medium a go...

Previously I have struggled with my Zig Markers but un deterred, I though I try again.

I was quite shocked at how I felt using them, I had a different feeling and appreciated the way the colours worked. I had completely slowed down.

Enjoying the practice far more, not a expert but defiantly heading in the right direction.

Black Obsidian Ink Pad (Altenew)

White Gouche Paint (Copic)

Water for Dripping on to card.

6 x 6" Card Blank

Method

Firstly I stamped out the image in Obsidian Ink.

I then used my pencils to colour it, and a rubber to remove pieces of the yellow pencil on the armchair to give a material look.

I then die cut the image using the coordinating die.

Putting this to one side I turned to my card blank.

I used a large Blending Brush and Blue Ink Pad. This was used as the background on the card blank ready to lay down my image.

Before adding the image, I splat the blended ink with water, then White Gouche. Once this was dry, I added mounting tape to the back of my image and placed it on the card blank.

Its at this point I realised I had forgotten the sentiment. So placing it in a Misti, I added it to the card.

I Hope You Enjoyed This Weeks Blog Post,

 Well Hello and Welcome,

Being Half Term this week means I get a little more of my day to myself, So for me its spent heading to the craft room with coffee in hand.

On the week of  Wednesday, the 12th May, I touched on how to find your own style by rating your work, making piles of your favourites. That way you could see what you really love and aim more for that have the same look. If not you could try Pinterest, this is where I keep pins in order of my favourites, great for inspiring you, I also find and pin colour combinations.

This is a valuable free resource for us all. Most of the stamp company's we love have their own page.

Pearl's for Flower Centres ( Little Things From Lucy's Cards)

Crystal Drop's in Bumble Gum Blush and Midnight Blue ( Nuvo)

Method

Stamp out your sentiment then line up your banner die.

Next choose the backing paper and die cut it out using the solid die.

Next add the sentiment pieces to the backing paper scroll.

Attach this to your card blank, and you are ready to embellish it. I used the flowers from the Eclectic Garden Die, as I love the shape of these little flowers.

Then I added them around my sentiment banner, added little pearls and Crystal drops to finish of this design. Once it was dry I went back and added a little image in Grape fruit inkpad as I felt it needed to tie together with the cardstock used on the flowers.

I love how simple but eye catching it is.
I hope you enjoyed this Wednesday Blog Post.
