Using Your Dye Based Ink To Blend, using Concord and 9th Inkpads (Clean and Simple)

 Hi There Crafty Friends,

I do hope your all keeping well, today I decided to see how blending my dye inks would turn out. I always used Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock, as it is great for blending (due to it being so smooth). So I pulled out my blending brushes and inks and this is what I came up with.

I was so impressed with the beautiful blend I achieved. I had to share it with you all.

Versafine Black Onyx Inkpad

Polychromos Pencils (161,185,188)

White Jelly Roll Pen

Black Cardstock

Masking Tape

Scrap of Neenah Cardstock for Parrot Image

Method

I cut a piece of Bristol cardstock to 3 3/4" x 5 1/2". Then taking some masking tape, I masked 1/3 of the cardstock, Horizontally.

Then using my dye inks, going in rainbow order, I slowly started to blend on the colour making sure not to go over the masked line.

They blended like butter and I was as I said amazed with the result.(shame I forgot to take a picture)

I gave them a minute to dry, then I took my black inkpad. I left the masking tape on and stamp first the sentiment from the concord and 9th set, then the flower (MFT) I had chosen.

Slowly I removed the masking tape and set it to one side.

I then stamped out the parrot  image on Neenah 80lb cardstock. Using my matching polychromos, I coloured in the parrot, fussy cut him out and  add some double sided foam tape to the back, then added him to the card, so his feet are level to the line.

I lastly add white Gelly roll pen for highlights.

I then added this cardstock piece on to a black cardstock piece and then on to a C6 card blank, then I stamped  inside another sentiment from the Concord and 9th sentiment stamps.

.

I do hope you enjoyed this weeks blog, and I like to wish you all a

Safe and Heathy Christmas

Circle Die (or something you can draw around to create a circle.)

Rectangle Die  (or something you can draw around to create a rectangle)

Method

Lay down your stamp on to your craft mat, using the masking magic cut out a circle. I die cut mine.

Place it roughly in the centre of the stamp side of your stamp.

Add your desired ink, i'm using the midnight colour from Concord and 9th. Ink over the circle or rectangle what ever shape you are using.

Place your card over the top and a piece of copy paper over that. Smooth it down then remove to reveal the aperture design.

Then remove your mask.

This is a different stamp as I forgot to take a shoot of the image.

I then took the small leave image and stamped around the outside of the circle.

I slowly built up my image and sentiment. It is all framed into the blank circle you create.

Here are a few more cards I created with different background stamps.

I do hope you've enjoyed today's post, and see how you can adapt your back ground stamps and get more out of your stamps and inks.

Happy Stamping

Creating Beautiful One Layered Cards with the Latest Release from Concord & 9th ,Buds and Blossoms Stamps and New Ink Colour Palette.

 Well Hello Crafty Friends

I'm bringing to you today, a look at the new colour palette from Concord and 9th.

I at first thought, I have so many inks do I really need these. But when i realised there is a coordinating card stock also in the range, I took a closer look. I love Gina K , for this very reason. So after looking at the colours in this release and the fact they don't plan any more in the near future. I decided to choose a few colours that would add to my stash and not duplicate my ink stash.

I am amazed by how beautiful these colours are and the quality of the ink.

Lay out your inks and mount your stamps, on acrylic blocks and enjoy creating some pretty patterns on to your card stock.

I found once I started I couldn't stop, hence the 3 examples I made for you.

I then stamped out the sentiment in Versafine Ink.

I used a Bronze Jelly Roll Pen to add detail to my flowers and dots to add more patterns.

Card Two

This Card I stamped and Blended with the Grapefruit  ink around the sides of the card, waited for the first lot of stamping  to dry then came in with Sorbet.

Repetitive Stamping, To Create A Modern Feel To Your Christmas Cards. (Card 4,5,6) In My Mini Series.

Good Morning All,

Well its back to term time again, it was nice to have a little break. Today is the last in my mini Christmas series. I hope I have inspired you to start yours.

Also If you haven't seen it go over to the bumbleberrys Papercrafts Craftroom  Facebook page and watch my live, showing ideas for using pattered paper for your Christmas Cards.

Various Concord and 9th Ink Pads in Sprout, Parsley, Honeysuckle and Oceanside.

Memento in London Fog

Various Card Blanks

Method

By simply stamping an image more than once, you can create a repetitive pattern that gives a modern feel to your cards.

Here I've taken the tree image, stamped it in Parsley and also the image of the tree with decorations and stamped them side by side.

Then using other inks in their new range, I have dress the tree. By using the dot to fill in the holes and add a snow pattern.

Finally I added a sentiment in the lower right hand corner.

Second idea using the bauble stamps.

Here I've Stamped them  in Sprout, Honeysuckle and Oceanside. I am in love with Concord and 9th inks. I used Memento in London Fog for the string.

After this I took the top bauble and stamped in black. This lets the colour underneath, come though.

I added some glossy accents.

Lastly using the same colour combi I added some candy sweet stamps.

My favorite card is the lights, as I enjoyed stamping these in a more modern combi and joining them up freehand. I used a Micron pen 0.2.

Such simple designs great for mass production.

Happy Stamping and Stay Safe
