Water Colouring With Distress Oxides and MFT Images

Hello There Crafty Friends,
I love water colouring, but i'm not great at it. I found the best way for me is to stamp an image, and use my oxide ink pads as a paint pallet.
I loved the images in My Favorite Things, Let's Stick Together.

Products
MFT Lets Stick Together Stamp Set
Water Colour Card Stock
Distress Oxide Inks, Twisted Citron,Mowed Lawn,Abandoned Coral,Carved Pumpkin, Gathered Twigs.
Nuvo Jewel Drops in Cocoa Blush
Nuvo Crystal Drops Gloss Dark Walnut
Masking Sheets
Versafine in Grey and Black Onyx
Clear Embossing Powder
White Gel Pen
C6 Card Blank

Method
Firstly I cut a piece of water colour card stock, just smaller than my card blank.
I then stamped my flower pot image in versafine grey, on to the cardstock.
I then used a strip of masking tape over the image and stamped my cactus's.

I then removed the making tape to reveal, my complete image.

To make a palette of colours I stamped my ink pads on to a glass mat.
I used these to painted in my image, and let it dry.
I then masked completely over this.
I started painting the ground.

 Brown to look like soil.

I had great fun in splatting paint over my work to add a gardening theme.

Lastly I removed my masking tape. Stamp a sentiment  directly on to my work with versafine black onyx.
I poured clear embossing powder over this and heat set.

Finally I add some nuvo drops and high lights with a white gel pen to finish my card.

Firstly I covered a piece of Neenah card stock 5.5 inches squared. With the Altenew stencil and using my score pal, I covered it in Transfer Gel.( I put it to one side to dry.)

Next I stamp and embossed my lady in white embossing powder.
Then put on my laminator for 10 mins.

While this was heating, I put stick it on the back of some black card stock. I cut out three times with the stick it on the back but the last time I cut it so it would be on the front.(Pictures further on)
I stacked them up and then removed the stick it on the final one and place my foil over the top. I did the same with four sticky foam squares.
I then added foil over my stamped image and ran it through my laminator. Place some quickie glue on her dress and shoes let it turn white the pressed on some foil.
Lastly I placed some rainbow foil over the dry, piece of neenah card stock with the transfer gel, and feed it through my laminator.
I then layered up each piece to give the look.

Foiling with Toner Sheets and Die Cuts

Hi There Crafty Friend,
I hope your all keeping safe in this dreadful windy weather.
I am a novice when it come to foiling, but love the look. So when Katrina, put up her latest products from Deco Foil, I just had to give it a go. I've used the transfer gel, with my stencils. But Toner sheets were going to be a whole new ball game.

I'm am now hooked, so easy and so beautiful!!!!!

MFT Staggered Heart Boarder Die Namic
Laminator
Tape Runner
5 x 5 Card Blank

Method
Firstly take your toner sheets, and die cut your Lots of love die, and any other pieces you want to add to your card design.
I had an older die from MFT, called Staggered Heart Border Die so I also die cut this. As I want to match the hearts to the one in the sentiment die
.
Once die cut, I cut a piece of Pink Melon foil just big enough to cover my toner die cuts.
I then used a peace of parchment paper to use as a carrier sheet, to feed through my laminator. You can just cut a piece of toner sheet and die cut after you've foiled it. Let your laminator heat up for a good 10 mins before feeding the sandwich through.
Place the foil pretty side facing you, on top of the black of the toner sheet.
Once its passed through the laminator give it a few mins to cool. Then carefully pull back the foil to reveal the foiled die cuts. I then arranged them on a 5 x 5 card blank. Ran a tape runner over the top of the card blank and using the scrap of foil left, I push down on to the sticky line. rubbing it to ensure good coverage. I then gentle removed to give a distressed look to the top of my card.
I then placed my card in my Misti and stamped my sentiment from the Smitten With You stamp set.
My card was then complete. perfect to tell some one how much you love them.

Next week I have another foiling technique for you, I just cant stop playing with this medium.
