Wednesday Blog for Bumbleberrys, using MFT Bearly Big Adventure Stamps

Well Hello Crafty Friends,
I trust you are well, and not over doing it in this beautiful weather. This week I decided to use  the
Bearly Big Adventure, i've fallin in love with this bear.Who doesn't love a bear.  https://www.bumbleberrys.co.uk/collections/my-favorite-things/products/beary-big-adventure I thought I would get use of my Oxides Pads and use them as a watercolour. So I all ready had a palette stamp out on laminated white card which can be reactivated easyly with water.

Here's my step by step,

Firstly I used a post it to mask of my background stamp by MFT, Tiny stars. and inked it up using Broken China Oxide inkpad by Tim Holtz. After laying my card on top, I finished by gently, blending more oxide ink being careful not to move the masked off area.I then used the water droplet technique and finally the flicks of paint technique to build a interesting background.

I then Stamped my bear and began painting it with my oxides pads, and added my own grass by doing flicks with the brush.

Lastly I added a Sentiment and some Nuvo drops to finish.
I love how these ink pads give the look of a chalky finish with out being chalky. It amazes me now different they are to normal distress inks.
Hope you enjoyed this weeks blog, and will be putting your Distress oxides to another use as amazing water colours, we love to see your art on the Bumbleberrys facebook page. So don't be shy. If you look closely as the picture above you can also see i used my Twinkling H2O's which I brought, early on in my crafty journey. Any pearlised water colours can be used.
God Bless and Take care

Wednesday Blog post for Bumbleberrys using MFT stamps You Float My Boat.

Good Morning Crafty Friends,
What lovely weather we are having, it makes everything better. I have had the privilege of using some more MFT Stamps this week. I am a huge fan of theirs, as all the stamps sentiments and dies work together and you can mix and match.
This week i'm featuring the "You Float My Boat Stamps. https://www.bumbleberrys.co.uk/collections/my-favorite-things/products/you-float-my-boat
Also I used MFT back ground stamp Diagonal Stripes, which can be ordered if you would like it from us at Bumbleberrys.

These cute little boats can be chop and change with different sails and flags and boat. I decided to go with a black and red theme this week just to show you don't need a lot of different inks.

Here my Step by Step.

Firstly I cut a piece of white card and using the background stamp, created my background. you could do this with a ruler and black marker.

Step 2
I then started stamping the sentiments in red, and then in black on outurnative lines.
Step 3

Then I fussy cut them out but we do have the matching dies.https://www.bumbleberrys.co.uk/products/die-namics-you-float-my-boat

Step 4
I then added a sentiment and stamped in on black card stock, with white embossing powder and using dimension pads raised it and the boats and added nuvo gloss drops. Also a wink of stella on the sales. and glossy accents to finish.

My Finished Design.

Wednesday Blog for Bumbleberrys Using The New Release from MFT.

Well Welcome Crafty Friends,

Hoping your all well, its been an exciting time at Bumbleberrys this week with the arrival of MFT, latest release, also Lawn Fawn and Altenew. As the design team waited eagerly, for our DT Parcel to arrive from the wonderful Katrina, (The Boss). We all had favourites that we hoped would pop through our letter boxes. I was blown away with the New Stamp set from MFT, called Bearly Big Adventure.https://www.bumbleberrys.co.uk/collections/my-favorite-things/products/beary-big-adventure
These Stamps were definitely on my wish list as not only is there a cute bear but 12 Sentiments.
So I was an eager beaver, to get to work on a Card.
This Simple design was so much fun, building up the forest and adding goggle eyes to the bear.

I simply stamped on Neenah card stock using my Misti, and Memento black ink. Coloured the images using alcohol markers, and Prisma Pencils to add shading. Then I took a card blank and using the MFT cloud stencil, I made the sky. Masked off the grass area, and blended Distress inks and then pencils over the top to create the grass.
Here are some examples of how I achieve that look. The Hills I don't worry about going over the lines, as I like to fussy cut out my images.

Building the forest, using sticky pads. and blending the grass using distress inks.
Finally adding pencil to the grass and adding more tress and bushes.

I then fussy cut them out and began to arrange my scene. This cute bare could be used in so many different ways, I will be featuring another MFT stamp set next week and May also come up with another idea for this set.

Thank you for popping bye,
