Well Hello and Welcome, to my last blog of 2021.
I am a huge fan of a stamp or die that creates a scene. So when I saw a stencil that did the same with a lower price point I had to give it a go.
This is what I came up with.
Hi There Crafty Friends, Thank you For Visiting, I'm Jo Summers, I've been in the Craft Industry 15yrs. Welcome to my blog... Where you will find my Crafty World, DT Work, and the General Crafty chit chat. If I don't know the answer to any questions. I am sure to know someone who will. Daisy D was my Nan and I owe all I am to them both.

Good Morning
This week I am showing you a different way of using your stencils. As I usually use my ink pads and blender brushes, I wanted to give things a shake up. If like me you have loads of sprays sitting around doing nothing they are fantastic for using with your stencils.

Welcome,
As you may or may not know I'm always unable to not purchase any stamps or dies which have a flower stall image. As a child I watch my Big Brother selling flowers from his, in the town I grew up in. So I guess it gives me happy memories.
The Other Die and Stencil I used was from Honey Bee Stamps

Good Morning and Welcome
I purchased the Altenew detailed brush to use with my stencils for tiny blends of colour.
Then after thinking about colouring my stamp image I thought, I try using the detail brushes to see what results Id get.

Welcome Back,
So this week I decided to step out of the comfort zone. I have said, in past blog posts. I am not confident when it comes to watercolour painting. But I have been much more confident, when using Distress Inks as my palette. I love flowers but always steer away from them as I don't think I will be able to make it look nice. But I decided to give it a shot, so I leave you to decide if I managed to pull it off!

Method
Stamp your image in Obsidian Ink.
Using the ink cubes line up your palette colours.
I use the Waffle flower Mat.
I wet the flower with a clean water brush then drop in colour.
I don't have the coordinating die, so I fussy cut the flower out. Then went around it with a black pen.
Next I ran the embossing file through my die cutting machine with 110lb Neenah card stock as this is a thicker weight of card stock o gives a nice deep impression. I attached this to my 6" squared card blank.
Hello and Welcome
If like me you enjoy colouring as you find it relaxing, but struggle with blends and highlights. I recommend starting with a good set of coloured pencils. Today I'm using Faber Castell these are a wax pencil. The other tool I recommend is a blending stick which can be picked up cheap enough. These are shaped like pencil and are made of a very tight roll of paper. Gamsol is the other thing to get amazing results with little to no effort. To bring my work to life I also use fine liners.
