Welcome Crafty Friends,
Some time in crafting we stubble along terms, we don't know or never heard about. One of these terms is Single, Double and Triple stamping or some times referred to as First, Second and Third generation stamping. Let me explain when you ink your stamp and stamp it this is First Generation or Single stamping.
Then if you stamp again with out adding more ink to the stamp, this is 2nd Generation or Double Stamping. The image is a lot lighter as there's less ink on your stamp.
Lastly if you repeat again not adding more ink this is known as Third Generation or Triple. you could go on but each time there's less ink.
Today I've used first, second and third or one, Single, or Double and Triple.
I do hope this makes sense. Look at the shades of the rain drops. They are lighter and darker and are the same ink only some we firsts, Second or Third Generation.
