Are You A Clean & Simple Card Maker (Less Is More)

 Well Hello,

I often ask myself this question, the answer though isn't always the same.

I gravitate to the idea of clean and simple, less is more but this can prove tricky.

So over the last few weeks, I've looked at all my cards and placed them in different piles. Good and

Not so Good.( what is pleasing to the eye to me)

This has helped me work out what my style is.

Today's card is as clean and simple, as I feel comfortable with. So card makers go further, to achieve this look. Some like busy cards, our style is unique to us, and is what makes us stand out from others.

Crystal Drops in Bubble Gum Blush (Nuvo)

Jewel Drop in Rosewater (Nuvo)

6 x 6 " Card  Blank (Any)

Method

Firstly I cut a piece of Neenah card stock to 5 1/2" x 5 1/2", then I choose the inkpad colours I wanted to use. Using acyclic blocks I stamped each of the circle patterned stamps. This was to create the background.

Next I stamped out all the sentiments I need in obsidian ink.

Then I stamped the word Granddaughter in Honeysuckle ink pad.

Next I die cut, the sentiments out with coordinating dies.

Next I played out the sentiments on to the neenah card stock.

Then I die cut the large Granddaughter word.

Next I die cut the flowers from coordinating card stock to the dye inks.

Lastly I pulled it all together and added to a card blank. I used foam dots to add demention to the flowers. Then  I added the nuvo drops to finish. I added them to the to the centre of the flowers.( Crystal) The Jewel drops I added on the right side of the sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks blog post,

Next week I will be playing with some Waffle flower products.

Happy Stamping

Jo
