Great Background Stamps, Create Versatile Canvas On Your Work Creating A Theme Using Different Coloured Ink.

 Hi There, Crafty Friends.

Changing the colour of your background can build a different theme. Rainbow bright colours are more summery. Browns, golds, orange and red's create an autumn feel. Pastels create a spring feel. So one background stamp becomes more valuable in your stash.

I love creating different colour combinations.

This background has a autumn feel that is added to by using embellishments. In this case its the skeleton leaves.

I love this Concord and 9th brushed background as there are other elements for a totally different design idea. Its like a buy one get one free.

Are You Finding Turnabouts Hard To Stamp? Here's A Simple Way, to Use Them!

 Hello Crafty Friends,

I here from a lot of people they love the final result of the turnabout stamps from Concord and 9th. But they find it daunting to use them.

Changing colours and rotating to achieve the pattern.

Well I come up with a solution were you cant go wrong.

Let me Explain.

By staying with a Monochrome design, then adding the colour to the images at the end. Even if you forget to turn the jig, to line up the next step you will not have to abandon ship. As your stamping in black on all 4 turns, you can not contaminate the colour. you just turn and stamp again. You will be unable if you stamped two or three times in a row. These designs will help you grow in confidence.

Gina K Amalgam Ink

Neenah 80lb Cut to 5 1/2" Squared

Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Cardstock Cut To 5 3/4" Squared

Pink Pencil (Prismacolor Magenta)

6 x 6 Card Blank

Method

Follow the instructions on lining up your stamp in your Misti or stamp positioner.
Every time you stamp stick with the same colour ink. I used black for a monochromatic style.

My stamping is a little off but only us stampers would notice. (trust me!)

I cut my design down to 5 1/2 inches squared.
Then I mounted this on to 5 3/4  inches squared piece of black cardstock. Creating a nice boarder.

Using my pencils, I added colour to my images. I choose to stick to pink. But you could do all sorts of different colours.

Finally I stamped out the cup image included in the set and die cut it. I mounted it out on double sided foam tape and placed it in the middle. Also stamp the coffee in pink inside the cup.

My card was complete. I will be using this technique again as I don't always know which inks to choose for my combination.

Until Next Week Happy Stamping

Different Looks From One Little Stamp, To Create Clean and Simple Cards.

Hi There, I hope your all well. I have been really inspired with all the amazing releases lately. But some times you find you don't know what to do when you get a new stamp set. So today I took the smallest stamp but wanted to make the biggest impact.

Products

Simply Said Stamp Set Concord & 9th

https://www.bumbleberrys.co.uk/collections/concord-9th/products/simply-said-stamp-set

Lawn Fawn Inks ( Lobster, Carrot, Sunflower, Cilantro, & Merman)

C6 Card Blanks

Neenah Cardstock 110lb (cut a little smaller than the C6 card blank)

Nuvo Crystal Drops Glossy (rainbow colours)

Iridescent Sequins

Versafine Black Onyx Ink Pad

Method

Pick your rainbow of colours, then the heart stamp that comes with the set.

Then I drew a faint line in the centre of my cardstock.

Then making sure my heart was lined up I stamped them in the rainbow order alone that line.

I then stamped one of the sentiments from the set, in black versafine ink.
Added some sequins and rubbed of any pencil line.

Card Two
Exactly the same but stamped the hearts in sets of three to each colour and kept them all over laping.

I then again stamped the sentiment as it card one and added same sequins.

Card 3

I decided to jazz this up, so added different colours from my chosen ink pads, by stamping each colour at a time using a Misti.

I then stamped randomly over the card stock with different coloured hearts.  Then I stamped the sentiment as I had in the previous cards. The next step was to match up the nuvo drops with the coloured inks and add them.

I hope ive shown you don't need a tone of stamps to create beautiful simple cards.

Happy Stamping
