Hi There Crafty Friends,
I do hope your all keeping well, today I decided to see how blending my dye inks would turn out. I always used Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock, as it is great for blending (due to it being so smooth). So I pulled out my blending brushes and inks and this is what I came up with.
I was so impressed with the beautiful blend I achieved. I had to share it with you all.

Scrap of Neenah Cardstock for Parrot Image
Method
I cut a piece of Bristol cardstock to 3 3/4" x 5 1/2". Then taking some masking tape, I masked 1/3 of the cardstock, Horizontally.
Then using my dye inks, going in rainbow order, I slowly started to blend on the colour making sure not to go over the masked line.
They blended like butter and I was as I said amazed with the result.(shame I forgot to take a picture)
I gave them a minute to dry, then I took my black inkpad. I left the masking tape on and stamp first the sentiment from the concord and 9th set, then the flower (MFT) I had chosen.
Slowly I removed the masking tape and set it to one side.
I then stamped out the parrot image on Neenah 80lb cardstock. Using my matching polychromos, I coloured in the parrot, fussy cut him out and add some double sided foam tape to the back, then added him to the card, so his feet are level to the line.
I lastly add white Gelly roll pen for highlights.
I then added this cardstock piece on to a black cardstock piece and then on to a C6 card blank, then I stamped inside another sentiment from the Concord and 9th sentiment stamps.
.
I do hope you enjoyed this weeks blog, and I like to wish you all a
Safe and Heathy Christmas
Love
Jo
