Everything Wonderful, Large Floral Design Used To Create, a Sympathy Card and A Bonus Card

Well Hello Crafty Friends,
I have two cards for you today, using the beautiful large floral image from Honey Bee Stamps.
I am not usually fond of this kind of design, as i'm more an character artist. But I just kept looking, at this image and I wanted to challenge myself. By stepping out of my comfort zone.
So here we go.




Unfortunately I  had to make a sympathy card this month, when I read the sentiments to this stamp set this was perfect. Then after enjoying this challenge  so much, I went on to make an autumnal card for a Oct/ Nov Birthday.

Card One
PRODUCTS

Honey Bee Stamps Everything Wonderful
Neenah 80lb cardstock
Memento Ink (Tuxedo Black)
Alcohol Markers & Prismacolor or Polychromos pencils
Tumbled Glass Oxide and Blending Brush
Nuvo drops in Yellows and Orange
Card Blank in 6x6 inches (Card One)
also 5x7 inches (Card Two)

METHOD
Firstly take a piece of neenah 80lb cardstock .
 Stamp out the large floral image, using alcohol friendly ink.
Colour your image, with your alcohol markers. add details and shading with your pencils.

Next I used a blending brush and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide, to go around the outside of the card blank.

I then stamped my sentiment and re stamped my image, using my Misti in versafine Onyx Black Ink
.

Next I did exactly the same, only changing the colours, of  pencils.


I used a light blue pencils to go around the outside of the image.
Stamped my sentiment.


Lastly I added Nuvo Drops to finish of my card.

Peace,Love and Joy Three ways to use a stencil.... Christmas Card Number Four

Masking Paper 
Large Circle Die
Distress Oxide (Salty Ocean)
Blending Brush
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad 
Alcohol Markers
Silver Embossing Powder
Strip of Vellum
6 x 6 Inch Card Blank
White Pom Pom (optional)

Method
Take a large circle mask or make your own using a circle die and masking paper.
Place it over a 6" x 6" card blank.
Place the MFT stencil over the top and use purple tape to hold in place.
Using a blender brush and salty ocean distress, blend a nice amount of ink on to the stencil. Remove the stencil and leaving the circle mask in place lightly blend again to add a hue of colour, this helps defined the circle on your card.
Next stamp out your penguin, in memento ink, any alcohol safe ink will do. Colour in using your alcohol markers.
Remove mask and place penguin image.
Stamp and embossing on to vellum your sentiment using silver embossing powder.
Cut vellum in to thin strip and place across card.
Pop in your pom pom with liquid glue.

Nuvo Glimmer Paste (Moonstone)
Neenah 110lb Card Stock Cut to 5 1/2 inches
Alcohol Markers
Black Cardstock
White Embossing Powder
6 x 6 inch Card Blank
3 White Pom Pom

Method
Place the stencil over the piece of neenah 110 lb card stock.
Using a  re positional tape. I use purple tape from themoweb, which Katrina stock's at Bumbleberrys.
Using a spatula apply a thin even layer, of glitter paste over the stencil.


 Remove stencil carefully, and rinse stencil off straight away.


Let it fully dry. Over night is best.
Stamp and colour your images out and add Pom Pom's to their hats.(optional)
Stamp your sentiment on to black card stock.Then emboss, in white embossing powder.
Use mounting tape to attach your images.
then add your sentiment I also used mounting tape at the back to give a raised look.

Kraft Card cut to 5 x 11 3/4 Inches folded at 5 3/4
(This Makes a top folding card blank.)

Embellishments
Red/Pink Twine, Little Bells and Wooden Stag Head.( Dyed using Gina K Red Velvet Ink Pad)

Method
Place the stencil over the green card stock.
Then using a blending tool add the lightest colour of green oxide, (Mowed lawn)
Blend on the colour, then come in with the darker green. (Pine Needles)
add it in patches.

Leave this for a few mins to dry, or speed up drying with a heat tool.
Then line up the stencil and come in with the Unicorn White ink pad, using a blending brush for litter coverage.

Then remove stencil and leave to dry.


I love the effect this gives.
Add your chosen embellishments.
Then fold your Kraft card stock and add to the front.


If your wooden embellishments don't match use a dye ink pad to change the colour.


This is my favorite design.

Christmas Card Number Three, Bold and Beautiful Using Concord & 9th. (Quick and Easy)

Good Morning, Crafty Friends.
As promised today's blog is card no 3. This is a good one if you are doing a production line.
As we know we all need so many cards at Christmas that individual makes aren't an option.
So we no delay here we go.

Products

Concord & 9th Christmas Florals

Versa fine Onyx Black Ink Pad
Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Card Stock
Clear Embossing Powder
White Embossing Powder
Bristol Smooth Cardstock /Water Colouring Cardstock.
Zig Real Brush Markers No 29 Geranium Red
No 42 Turquoise Green
Sakura Pen Touch In (Fine) Gold and Copper
Watered Down Gold Paint (For Splatting)

Method
Firstly cut your water coloured cardstock down to 4 1/2  x 6 inches.

Stamp the large floral image in versafine ink and clear emboss it.
Then take your zig markers or similar and colour in your image.
Add Gold to the berry's and lines around your border on the stamped image.
Once dry splat some gold paint all over design.

 Stamp on to black card stock, the word Happy in white embossing powder.
and set to the side.
Lastly make a card blank up so it is 5 x 61/2 inches.
Add card front to base and attach little sentiment on to card.

I think you would agree a quick and easy card.

Card Design's for Christmas Using Mama Elephant Old and New and Three Masking Technique.

Good Morning, 
Today ive have been going through last years releases for Christmas and have combined them to come up with three simple designs.



Products
Mama Elephants The Penguins Waddle (Card One and Three)
Last Christmas Release from Mama Elephant (Card Two)
Memento Ink Pad in Tuxedo  Black.
Neenah 80lb Card Stock
Alcohol Markers
White Jelly Roll
Crystal Glaze (Nuvo)
Masking Paper
Grey Card stock (Card One)
This was the simplest of the cards, I cut a piece of Neenah card stock to 5.5 inches by 5.5 inches .
I then Stamped my first set of penguins masked them off then stamped the next, until they continued for the length of the card stock. I then Coloured them with alcohol markers. Add a sentiment and finally some crystal glaze.
Card Two
Stamp your greeting.

 Mask over it I choose a oval shape.


 Then like the first card. Stamp over and mask, and repeat until you reach the top.


Once you finished  all the stamping remove the masks.



Then use your coloring medium.

With the last card, do the same with a circle mask,
Place the mask over the card blank and stamp penguins on to card blank remove stencil.
Then colour as you wish.
