Playing with Distress inkpads, easy Tecniques......
Hi there its been a nightmare. My beautiful laptop got a virus and died on me!!!! :( so been with out a computer for a while. But im back and raring to go!!!! I will be showing off Cards, Techiques and all sorts of craftyness. So buckle up and enjoy the ride. First a Techique to get the ball rolling, Fun with Distress Inkpads. First techique is Masking with Post it notes and building up colour.
Firstly take a card blank and by riping a post it note create a column on to it.Opps next time will show pick! Making the edges wavy. Then start with the lightest of you choice of colour, using a blending tool.Keep adding different colours from lightest to darkest untill you reach top of the card. Then remove post it note to reveal a beautiful crisp column. Then in black archival ink stamp a solid image. Great for Note cards or Sympathy which can be tricky.
Next techique is using your acrlic block as a stamp. Using you distress ink pad ink up half your block, (small in this case). Then using a different colour do the other half, use lightest colour first and be careful not to cross ink as can contaminate your inkpad. Then Spriz with some water. Then stamp on to water coloured card stock. You have a beautiful back ground to stamp on.So Easy first picture is of 3 lined up together, for impact. and then a single one again good for a quick hello card.
Thank you for poping bye and i'll be back soon x Jo
